Mr. Poole, who was born in Washington, DC and raised in Silver Spring, MD, received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Howard University, graduating cum laude in 1998. Thereafter, Mr. Poole attended Howard University’s School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor degree in 2001.
Mr. Poole formed the Poole Law Firm with the goal to provide superior legal services for those who are in need. He strongly believes in the value of an excellent attorney-client relationship, which often hinges on the availability and responsiveness of the attorney. While Mr. Poole’s practice focuses primarily on criminal defense, he also has extensive experience in civil litigation. His combined experience in civil trial law and thorough civil discovery makes him a formidable criminal trial attorney.
Troy Poole has been involved in a number of high-profile criminal cases, including the representation of DC Councilman Kwame Brown’s father Marshall Brown who was accused of misappropriating campaign finances. Mr. Poole’s other notable white-collar criminal cases include representing legendary lightweight boxing champion Keely Thompson who was federally prosecuted for wire fraud. Mr. Poole was successful in negotiating the dismissal of similar changes against Mr. Thompson’s wife.
